Sydney Malmo, DVM

Dr. Sydney Malmo grew up in the Memphis area attending St. George’s High school.  During the summers she worked at Shelby Center Hospital for Animals as a veterinary assistant while completing a double degree in Biology and Animal Science at The University of Tennessee, then again while earning her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee.  After Graduating in 2017 she returned to Shelby Center Hospital for Animals as an associate Veterinarian. Dr. Malmo practices small animal medicine with a special interest in Emergency Medicine and Dermatology. 

When asked what she loves about being a veterinarian, she said “Every day is different! I love that this profession always keeps you on your toes and learning.  The pets make it so fun, but so do the people!!!”

Dr. Malmo loves running, spending time outside and hanging out with her husband, one year old son, friends, family, and her dogs, Hallie an 11-year-old Shepard and Buddy a 6-year-old English Setter.
