Boarding

Your pet's home away from home.

Located in Memphis, Shelby Center Hospital for Animals offers pet boarding for cats and dogs so you can enjoy peace of mind while you're away.

Shelby Center Hospital for Animals is pleased to offer boarding for pets in Memphis and the surrounding areas. Our boarding areas are kept immaculately clean for the safety and comfort of the pets under our care. Feline boarders are kept in a separate area, away from the barking of our canine friends that may cause them unneeded stress. Our climate-controlled facility is kept cozy in the winter and cool during the hot Memphis summers.

Our boarders enjoy these amenities during their stay:

  • Clean, spacious cages and runs
  • Outdoor leash walks
  • A comfortable atmosphere
  • Fresh bedding and daily housekeeping
  • Individualized care
  • Daily observations
  • Veterinary medical care (if needed)

Can I bring medicine, special food, or toys from home?

At Shelby Center Hospital for Animals, we want each of our boarders to feel right at home! Our caring professional staff will provide any medications you bring, as well as diet food specific to your pet.

Are reservations required for boarding at Shelby Center Hospital for Animals?

Our boarding facility is extremely popular and fills up quickly during holidays and traditional vacation times. For this reason, we require reservations to ensure we have all boarders anticipated before their stay with us.

Our Boarding Requirements

  • Cats must be current on their Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia virus, and Rabies vaccines
  • All boarders must provide proof that they are free from parasites – internal or external
