Dr. Mernaa Fayik, DVM

Dr. Mernaa Fayik is originally from Nashville, TN, and is a graduate of Antioch High School. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. Her love for animals started early, helping care for farm animals with her father’s side of the family—and when paired with her passion for medicine, veterinary medicine became the perfect path.

She often shares that one of her favorite parts of the job is being able to serve in so many roles: “I love that I get to be a general practitioner, a dentist, a surgeon—all in one.”

Dr. Fayik’s clinical interests include dermatology and internal medicine, and she has a strong foundation in general practice. She is passionate about case management and always looking to grow, especially during these early years of her career. She is eager to collaborate and learn from other veterinarians, gaining insight from their experience and perspectives to continue developing her medical knowledge and skills.

“I’m really excited to learn and grow in an environment where I can absorb from the experience around me. These early years are so formative, and I want to make the most of every opportunity.”

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Fayik enjoys spending time with her husband—especially traveling, watching documentaries and movies, and exploring new local food spots and experiences.

She shares her life with Luna, an 8-year-old Havanese who’s sweet, clingy, and full of personality. Luna’s favorite things include squeaky tennis balls, sunbathing, and staying close to mom at all times.

Dr. Fayik also loves working with people and values the connection she builds with each pet owner. She sees veterinary care as a way to strengthen the human-animal bond, and is honored to be a part of that journey for every patient she sees.
