Ariael Towns, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Ariael Towns, DVM

Originally from Memphis, TN, Dr. Ariael Towns is a graduate of White Station High School and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2025. Her early experiences working as a veterinary assistant in general practice and emergency clinics — starting well before vet school — helped shape her passion for animal health and her commitment to compassionate care.

Dr. Towns’ professional interests include dentistry, surgery, and diagnostic medicine. She especially enjoys wellness care and client education, and is eager to expand her skills in soft tissue surgery and ultrasound. She describes herself as someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and values the opportunity to grow through mentorship and teamwork.

When asked what drew her to the profession, Dr. Towns shared:
“As a kid, I used to bring animals in from the backyard to care for them. One day my mom told me, ‘You have to let the veterinarians take care of them’ — so I decided to become one. I love being able to apply what I’ve learned to help pets feel better, and I’m most excited about building relationships with families and their animals.”

Outside of work, Dr. Towns enjoys crocheting, reading, and movie marathons. She also has a love for languages and culture — having studied animal symbolism and care in Japan and learned some Japanese along the way. She hopes to pick the language back up again in the future.

She shares her home with Sunset, a lively terrier mix who’s always ready to play and make new friends. A fun fact? Dr. Towns is the first doctor of any kind in her family, and she’s proud to be paving the way.
